Wastewater Treatment Remediation
Environmental Remediation Applications & Case Studies
Wastewater treatment is a process to reduce or remove pollutants, solids and sewage from water before being released back into the environment.
Many chemical and petrochemical plants have wastewater treatment systems that are treating larger flows and/or more or different contaminants than the designed volumes. As a result, the effluent is out f compliance with the discharge limits.
TIGG has used wastewater treatment expertise and equipment to supplement the existing treatment systems and meet the effluent requirements.

TIGG Wastewater Treatment System |
Wastewater Treatment Environmental Remediation: TIGG Corporation was contacted to supply carbon for reducing aquatic toxicity in wastewater from a manufacturing plant in Southwest Arkansas. The facility wished to pump a permitted wastewater to a surface discharge and there was trace contamination which affected biomarker testing. A consultant had been hired by the facility to investigate several methods of treatment and it was determined that carbon adsorption was likely to provide the most cost-effective approach. A pilot test was conducted with TIGG Corporation CANSORB rental equipment and the results showed effective treatment of the water. A system was ultimately installed with two CANSORB vessels in series where the units are operated in a lead-lag fashion and spent vessels are exchanged off-site. This operation has been effectively treating water for over six years. |
