Pumps

Various pumps are available depending upon the uses and site circumstances. These include submersible pumps which can be used to transfer water from tanks or sumps, trash pumps which can be used in similar circumstances which require less vertical lift, centrifugal pumps to transfer water for various frictional loss circumstances and for backwashing, and positive displacement pumps where fluid shear is undesirable. A number of these pumps are available in the rent accessories. Pumps should be sized for actual operating circumstances including head loss through system and discharge lines. Consideration should be given to power supply for the pump - operations in remote locations may be facilitated with fuel powered pumps.
