Trace Metal Removal From Organics
Metal Removal Media
A number of metal removal media are offered which have various capabilities for removal of trace metals existing as elemental, cationic, or anionic forms.
Various base materials are used either for specific properties or selected as a superior substrate for holding active ingredient.
Metal removal media mesh size offerings are usually the single available form and are typically smaller sized to improve kinetics. Typical operating ranges are 1-4 gpm/ft2.
Activity gives an indicator of the capability of the particular sorbent to provide metal loading, with higher values showing a generally higher capability to provide surface loading. As these materials are applicable to a certain range of metals, the true nature of the loading should be discussed with a representative.
All trace metal removal media are capable of producing removal efficiencies of greater than 90% for adsorbates which are cost-effectively adsorbed.
