When a site on which a manufactured gas plant (MGP) had been operating requires remediation, excavation and soil treatment activities can result in contamination of the air and water at the site.
If the manufactured gas plant (MGP) remediation site needs to be covered with a temporary structure, TIGG has air purification systems to treat the air to meet discharge limits. We supply all necessary equipment and parts, including the temporary structure, to contain the air in the operating environment and keep the exhausted air clean and flowing. Our systems can handle air flows from 1000 to 20,000 cfm. We can combine units to treat larger flows if necessary.
If groundwater or excavation water is a problem at the manufactured gas plant site, TIGG has the solution. We can supply a treatment train to water treatment requirements as well.

Northeast utility manufactured gas plant -TIGG provided a 132 x 116 ft temporary structure and two systems to treat vapors generated from manufactured gas plant excavation operations inside the building. Each system treated 20,000 cfm and consisted of an NB20 box adsorber, fan and controls, a separate blower for nighttime operation, interconnecting ductwork and sound deadening package. |

TIGG provided an oil/water separator, surge tank, pump, bag filters, and two adsorbers containing activated carbon capable of treating 200 gpm. The entire integrated remediation system was trailer mounted and enclosed for protection from the weather. |
